This blog began as a library online bookclub, but it has evolved into different things — a record of our vermicomposting project and a place to post our brief ‘books worth another look’ reports for the village newsletter. Now we’re using it as a place to post monthly announcements of upcoming library events. Please note that this is not our official, government website, just an extra place to post our submissions to the village’s English-language newsletter. Pour notre site officiel en français, veuillez cliquer ici.
Who are we? We’re a small library in the Village of Dorchester in Dorchester, New Brunswick, Canada. (No, we’re not the Dorchester in Dorset, but here at the library we know the Dorchester, Dorset, library people — hello, Dorset friends!) We’re part of the New Brunswick Public Library Service. For our location and hours of operation, you can see our official website here in English ou en français ici. You can also search the NBPLS catalogue here, and with your library card and PIN, log in to check your account status, renew your books, or place holds.
We hope to see you at the library soon.
P.S. That little black and white printout of a poster you see on the pillar in our banner is one of Canadian illustrator Debbie Ohi’s downloadable library posters, which you can see in their full-colour glory on her website.
