The Wonderful Pigs of Jillian Jigs, by Phoebe Gilman

Guest Post by Mary M.

I remember when I was a little girl, and my mom would read the stories of Jillian Jigs to me almost every night before I went to bed. It was one of my favorite children’s books, and always put a smile on my face before heading to sleep. Written by Phoebe Gilman, Jillian Jiggs is a great children’s story about a little girl who would always have a messy room. Her mom would always tell her to clean her room, which she did, until Jillian and her friends would find something fun to do. It always ended with Jillian’s room looking like it’s been lived in by pigs. I recommend this book to all young children, especially those with messy rooms. My mom would always tease me and tell me that I’m exactly like Jillian Jiggs because my room would always be a mess, and to this day Jillian Jiggs is still one of my favorites because the story is so relatable.
